IR Distance Sensor is an adapter to interface the Sharp GP2D12 to the PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8. The GP2D12 measures distances from 70 cm to 10 cm producing a voltage from 0 to 2.5V. This is interpreted as a sensor value of 0 to approximately 500 on the 8/8/8.

This sensor uses the Sharp GP2D12 Infrared Distance Measuring module. The GP2D12 measures 10 cm to 70 cm and produces a varying voltage from 2.5 V to 0 V. The GP2D12 can draw up to 300mA for short periods of time and this board acts as a power filter. Up to 8 can be used on the PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8 at one time.
